In accordance with international biosecurity norms, United States Federal Select Agent Program regulations (42 CFR Part 73, 7 CFR Part 331, 9 CFR Part 121), and the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), users agree that they will not use Logos to model, design, optimize, or prepare sequences intended for:
While Logos assists in optimizing synonymous codon choices, the end user and ordering investigator maintain sole legal and operational responsibility for submitting constructs to certified commercial gene synthesis providers (e.g., Twist Bioscience, Integrated DNA Technologies, GenScript) that execute rigorous customer verification and automated sequence screening per the Guidance for Providers of Synthetic Double-Stranded DNA.
Sequences submitted into the Logos in-browser workbench remain the exclusive intellectual property of the user. Logos does not claim any ownership, licensing, patent rights, or royalty interest in sequences, constructs, or downstream proteins designed using this tool.
Logos and its underlying algorithms (including Nussinov RNA folding, CAI modeling, and simulated annealing heuristics) are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Tresslers Group and its contributors do not warrant that computational predictions will guarantee specific in-vitro or in-vivo protein expression yields, solubility, or catalytic activity.
